Sensor Switch nLIGHT Digital Lighting Control System

This short video, produced by the Lighting Controls Association at the 2011 LIGHTFAIR event, introduced the building industry to Sensor Switch's nLight Digital Lighting Control System.

Prosoft ILX800-SMSG Micro800 SMS Plug-in M

The ProSoft Technology SMS Plug-in Module adds bi-directional SMS text messaging capability to the Allen-Bradley Micro830 family of controllers. Operating over the GSM cellular network, the plug-in module provides a cost-effective and secure method for OEMs to add remote communication features using cellular phones as the user interface to their machines and systems. Applications include remote alarming, environmental/energy monitoring, data collection, machine condition, inventory status alerts and production counts.

The SMS plug-in is activated by installing a standard GSM SMS SIM card (contact your local GSM cellular provider for plan options and costs). After activation it will connect to the local provider tower and enable bi-directional text messaging between the controller and remote cell phones. Because the module uses SMS, there is no need for costly cellular data plans.

The SMS Plug-in snaps into an open slot in the front of the Micro830 controller. The controller provides power and all communications are over the backplane. A sample CCW program is available at no additional cost with plug-in function block drivers and a sample program provided in Structured Text, Ladder and Function Block languages. Programmers may use these sample programs for creating their own projects for message sending, receiving, alarming and machine status.

The front mounted coax connector allows for either a direct-mounted antenna or externally mounted antenna (installed outside the panel or cabinet for better cellular reception). Antennas are not included and must be ordered separately.

The Allen-Bradley® Guardmaster® SC300 is a Type 3 vision-based protective device designed for use in a variety of machine guarding applications. This latest addition to the Rockwell Automation® safety opto-electronic product family is targeted to light and medium industrial machine guarding applications which have a square or rectangular frame in front of the hazardous area and an environmental rating requirement of IP54. Siemens Unassembled Panelboards

Completely symmetrical boxes may be mounted with either end up. There are two pre-punched equipment ground connector locations for contractor friendly installation.

Box comes pre-punched for optional, field installable door-in-door or hinged style trims. There are also two pre-punched ground connector locations. The panel box will accept both standard ground connector (EGK and ECGK) assemblies and insulated ground connector kits (IGK and ICGK).

Interior is completely symmetrical allowing it to be changed from top to bottom feed by simply rotating the interior or remounting the incoming kit to the desired top or bottom incoming bus stabs. Choose either a Main Breaker kit or Main Lug kit with which to terminate your incoming cables. Main lug kits are contractor friendly with lay in lugs through 350 Kcmil (250 amp panel) or (1) 600 kcmil or (2) 250 Kcmil connectors for 400 amp panels. No line connectors in the P1 panel require multiple wires under one screw. Main Breaker kits (250 amps and below) are horizontally mounted allowing field convertible top or bottom feeds to be performed easily. MLO kits and Main Breaker Kits are interchangeable and can be changed/added in the field without making changes to the enclosure or interior.

Branch neutral connections are adjacent to the breaker connections to speed wiring and reduce clutter. The standard P1 neutral is rated for 100% of the panel's ampacity and will accept copper or aluminum wire. Optional 200% neutrals are available. The panel includes space to add (1) sub-feed breaker ( max 250 amps), feed-thru lugs or TPS1 (TVSS) kit. The P1 panel with the TPS1 TVSS unit installed is complementary listed to the standard for TVSS units and meets the requirements for an electronic grade panelboard.

Siemens standard trim has hidden hinges and mounting hardware for added safety. The rounded door corners not only enhance the panel's appearance but also help to eliminate injuries caused from sharp corners.

Semi-flush lock comes standard. Easily identified locked position denoted by keyway being horizontal when door has been locked.
